Schafschiesser.
The 1979 western pinball, minus the gunslingers: whoever shoots here hits sheep. Seven drop targets, five S-C-H-A-F lanes, kickout saucer, spinner and the 50,000 lane – as an engineering drawing, with real mechanics.

Top 10 like in the arcade: three initials, chosen with the flipper buttons. Stored: initials, score, date and country.
- Shift left/right, ← → or Z /: flippers
- Hold and release Space or ↓: plunger
- ↑ or N: nudge – too often and it’s TILT

- Touch: left / right half = flippers, hold right to pull the plunger
- Gamepad: LB RB flippers, A plunger, Y nudge
- S-C-H-A-F: five top lanes, 1,000 and bonus each. Complete: 10,000 and multiplier +1.
- S-C-H-Ü-T-Z-E: seven sheep drop targets, 500 each. All down: 5,000 and multiplier +1.
- Saucer: holds the ball briefly – 5,000, +5,000 per hit up to 25,000, multiplier +1.
- Spinner: lit from 2× multiplier, then 1,000 per turn – until game over.
- 50,000 lane on the far left: always lit. The most valuable shot on the table.
- Stars in the arch and bonus up to 29,000 × multiplier (up to 5×). Multiplier, lanes and saucer value carry over to the next ball; only the sheep stand up again.

Play pinball online – the western, only friendlier
Schafschiesser is a pinball game for the browser: free, no download, no sign-up. It is modelled on Game Plan’s “Sharpshooter” from 1979. The shooting targets became sheep – the name means “sheep shooter” – and the machine became an engineering drawing: just lines, dimension chains and item numbers, but with real mechanics.
The physics runs at 960 steps per second: slingshots, pop bumpers, the spinner and the kickout saucer behave like on a real table. At its heart is a bank of seven sheep drop targets spelling S-C-H-Ü-T-Z-E, plus five S-C-H-A-F lanes and the narrow 50,000 lane on the far left.
Play with keyboard, touch or gamepad, fullscreen if you like. The top 10 go into a public high score list – entered with three initials, arcade style.
Three tips for a higher score
- The sheep bank is the heart of the game: knock down all seven for 5,000 and a higher multiplier.
- The 50,000 lane on the far left is always lit, but it only counts when the ball travels through it upwards.
- The saucer pays again and again: each hit raises its value up to 25,000 and advances the multiplier – which carries over to the next ball.
